MIDLAND -- Construction on a new, healthy grocery store is moving on schedule in Midland.

On Tuesday, Big 2 got a chance to go inside the Natural Grocers location being built off Loop 250. The store site is next to Ashley Furniture Homestore there.

In a few months, the space will be full of different food options, along with vitamins and more. But the builders are also keeping the construction green by reclaiming heat instead of using the water heater, installing C02 sensors, and more.

"The store will be 100% LED lights -- also, we do not have a non-organic produce section," Construction Manage Kevin Stees told Big 2. "Every piece of produce in the store will be organic."

The store says they also plan on having a nutritionist on staff so people can ask questions. Natural Grocers is slated to open in Midland on March 15th.
