Power Restored At Murry Fly Elementary After Outage

ODESSA -- Students at an Odessa school enjoyed a shorter day Thursday, after the power went out in the building Thursday morning.
Murry Fly Elementary was closed Thursday morning when the power went out. Students were bussed to Cavazos Elementary, and students who were dropped off at the school were also taken to Cavazos Elementary.
The power was restored around 10:30 AM Thursday, and the school was reopened at 10:45 AM. Students had lunch and the rest of their day went on as normal.
E.C.I.S.D said that if parents decided to keep their kids at home Thursday, the district would count it as an excused absence.
