AUSTIN -- Rick Perry is urging Texas lawmakers to expand lawsuit reform in order to maintain the principles that have helped our state's economy lead the nation.

The Texas Governor made the statement during a keynote address at the Texas Public Policy Foundation's 9th Annual policy orientation for the Texas Legislature.

"We must work together this session to strengthen the basic economic building blocks that have drawn new employers and jobs to our state," Perry said. "To ensure Texas remains the best state to do business and raise a family."
