West Texas Icon Passes Away At Age 81

Midland/Odessa--A West Texas icon died this morning at the age of 81.
Houston Copeland has died of a heart attack.
West Texans remember might remember the bright red signs all over the Midland/Odessa area with Copeland and his wife Lisa. Copeland topped State Farm as the leading writer of automobile policies for the nation in Odessa. He wrote more policies than any other State Farm agent in the United States or Canada.
His wife, Lisa Copeland told Big 2 that she hopes her husband will be remembered for his support to many charities and functions throughout the years in the West Texas area. Funeral arrangements have not been announced yet.
