Homelessness Spikes In Texas

The number of homeless families in the Lone Star state went up 16 percent in 2010 compared to the 2009's figures. And there's also been a big growth in families "doubling up" or moving in with extended family and friends. That's usually seen as a major step towards homelessness.
In general, states along the Gulf Coast saw the biggest increases in homelessness in 2010.
