AUSTIN -- Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson will not run for re-election in 2012. Now, it looks that the Texas Railroad Commissioner is gunning for the open seat.

Commissioner Michael Williams is expected to resign from his post to run for the U.S. Senate. While nothing has been officially announced, Williams said on his twitter account that he "shouldn't directly address your questions about my senate race intentions." He later tweeted "People get ready!!"

A Williams political consultant said that Williams will have more to say later in the week.
