AUSTIN -- On Tuesday morning, Governor Rick Perry was inaugurated in the Texas Senate building in Austin, in front of about 10,000 people.

Perry says he's looking forward to four more years leading the state in his third term. He also feels this is the time for Texas to seize the moment, and show the world the possibilities of freedom and free enterprise.

But Perry might not stay in Austin very long. Some new reports show that Governor Perry may be putting out feelers to see his chances in a 2012 presidential run. "National Review" reports that his staffers are quietly polling voters outside Texas to check his chances. He was chosen last year to lead the Republican Governors Association, and is known as a powerful fundraiser.

Still, a Perry spokesperson has told "Politico" that the governor hasn't done any polling outside of Texas.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst was also sworn in to his post Tuesday. He said that he will work with legislators this year on job growth, securing the borders and balancing the state budget without a tax increase.
