MCCAMEY -- Drivers who use a major road in the southern part of the Permian Basin will have to adjust their route this week.

F.M. 1901 is closed near the Pecos-Crockett county line as crews work to replace the bridge over the Pecos River. While most of the road is still open, F.M. 1901 does not intersect with many major roads in the area, so taking a detour around the closed bridge is difficult.

TXDOT recommends taking U.S. 67 and F.M. 11 if you're traveling between McCamey and Bakersfield.
