GOP Rep Tweets "You Believe In Socialism" During Obama Address

WASHINGTON, D.C.  --  A GOP representative from Georgia took to Twitter during President Obama's State of the Union address, and his use of the "s" word is raising some eyebrows.

Republican Paul Broun shot out about 40 tweets during the address, including one that read, quote, "Mr. President, you don't believe in the Constitution.  You believe in socialism."

Broun also tweeted that, "all children will be poor if we continue with Obama's policies."

Last week, Representative Broun scoffed at the proposal that Republicans and Democrats sit together during Obama's speech, calling the idea a "trap."  Broun said that, "sitting together being kissy-kissy is just another way to try to silence Republicans."

"Roll Call" reports that Brown was not in the chamber for Obama's address last night, preferring to watch it from his office "out of respect."

Broun's behavior is being compared by some to an outburst by Republican South Carolina Representative Joe Wilson during President Obama's health care address to Congress in September of 2009.

When the President denied that his health care plan would allow free coverage for illegal immigrants, Wilson famously shouted out, "you lie."

Wilson later claimed that his remark was "spontaneous" and not planned ahead of time.
