Nearly 80-percent of those taking part in a new Rasmussen Reports poll see the former Alaska governor favorably.
She ranks second behind former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, who's drawing a positive response from 81-percent of Republican voters.
Just over three-quarters of respondents like former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.
But come election time, 33-percent hope they won't see Palin's name on the ballot.
By comparison, just 15-percent would prefer someone other than Romney to be the Republican candidate for president, and 13-percent don't want Huckabee to represent their party in the 2012 presidential election.
Palin is a little more popular among Tea Party members.
While 46-percent of non-Tea Party Republicans don't want Palin to be their candidate for president, that view is shared by only 23-percent of those in the Tea Party.
