ANDREWS COUNTY -- Some tense moments Wednesday night in Andrews County as a grass fire threatens a ranchers home.

Big 2 crews were in Gardendale on Wednesday afternoon when they noticed a plume of black smoke towards Andrews. Our crews started heading towards the smoke to see what was going on. Once they got closer, they realized it was on the Fasken ranch.

When the crews drove up, ranchers were dousing the flames with cattle sprayers and nursing trailers. The ranchers' main concern was that a rancher's home that was in the fire's path.A few minutes later, Andrews County firefighters arrived to help get things under control.

The cause is under investigation. According to the Fasken ranchers we spoke with, these grass fires are becoming a regular occurrence.
