DALLAS -- A former priest was in court in a Dallas County courtroom on Thursday to face solicitation of capital murder charges -- and he's facing charges in the Permian Basin as well.

John Fiala was arrested in the Metroplex in November. He was accused of holding a teenage boy at gunpoint and forcing the victim to have sex with him. That incident allegedly happened twice between 2007 and 2008 in Rocksprings, where Fiala worked. An undercover informant also said that Fiala offered him $5000 to kill the victim.

Fiala will be back in court in Dallas County on February 3rd. He has also been indicted in Howard County on aggravated sexual assault of a child charges.

The Howard County District Attorney's office did not tell Big 2 if a trial date has been set for Fiala in the county.
