Gardendale - A small community out in Ector County has seen a lot of changes. In recent years, it's seen a major increase in population as more families have decided to leave the hustle and bustle of the city for the slower-paced, quiet life of the country. But here lately, that's not what they've been getting, and what used to be a peaceful community, is preparing for war.

Gardendale hadn't seen drilling activity for years. But recent fracking advances have made the minerals underneath Gardendale's soil a target for oil companies. While potentially housing of over 160 rigs sounds like a welcome site for West Texas, it's creating a big debate for everyone involved.

After looking at the story from a number of different angles, we have a lot of information to share during our special series of reports beginning next Thursday night at 10pm.
