DALLAS --  Dallas police have arrested a woman after she claimed the six-month-old daughter of a friend was kidnapped.

The suspect originally told police Azia Crawford was kidnapped when someone stole the car she was in outside a store in Oak Cliff.

Police now say the girl was never in danger and was actually found inside a home.

Police believe the abduction story was made up so the car could be found a lot quicker.

The car may have been stolen by the suspect's boyfriend.

Police do not believe the mother of the child was involved.
