More Than 1000 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized In Hudspeth County

SIERRA BLANCA -- Two Arizona men are behind bars after they were busted for trying to bring more than 1000 pound of marijuana through West Texas.

    Border patrol agents at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint along Interstate 10 in Hudspeth County found the drugs in an 18-wheeler early Monday morning. The agents were doing an immigration check when K-9 units indicated that there was something hidden in the truck.

    Agents found 22 bundles of marijuana, which weighed 1025 pounds and is said to be worth $820,000. The drivers, 18-wheeler and drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
