ODESSA -- An Ector County grand jury has indicted an Odessa man for a November stabbing death.

Clifford Paul Woods is charged with first degree murder for the November stabbing death of Brian Allen Dillon. Dillon had his throat slit after an early morning fight at a bar and was being driven to the hospital when he was involved in a car accident. Ector County Sheriff's deputies on scene sent Dillon to Medical Center Hospital, but he died on the way there.

The deputies found Woods' vehicle soon after and arrested him. Woods claimed that he stabbed Dillon in self-defense. Now, he could be facing life in prison if convicted.
