MIDLAND -- A Coahoma woman will be spending more than 4 years behind bars after she was sentenced for dealing oxycodone.

Debra Ann Buchanan was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison Thursday. She will also spend 3 years on supervised release.

Buchanan, 46, was part of a ring that sold the prescription painkiller to people who didn't have a doctor's permission to use it. Buchanan had a prescription for oxycodone from a doctor in San Angelo, and she was one of the suppliers for the ring between September 2009 and August 2010.

Buchanan pleaded guilty to conspiring to illegally distribute oxycodone in October.
