MIDLAND -- A man was injured in a crash in Midland Thursday.

The incident happened Thursday afternoon at Rankin Highway and Dayton. A Ford Ranger was heading south on Rankin when a Dodge Caravan tried to make a left turn and smashed into it. The Dodge spun around and flipped on its side because of the impact.

The driver of the Dodge -- 67-year-old Humberto Ortiz Soto -- was partially ejected from his vehicle in the crash. Soto was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. He also got a ticket for failing to yield.
