Odessa Man Indicted For Beer Bottle Attack

ODESSA -- An West Odessa man has been indicted for hitting a woman in the face with a glass beer bottle.
Johnny Valdez has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the incident, which allegedly happened in late November. Valdez, 24, reportedly threw the victim to the ground in her apartment and smashed her in the face with the bottle. That victim was taken to Medical Center Hospital for a head wound.
Valdez was already behind bars for another assault when he was arrested for the bottle assault. He's being held in the Ector County Detention Center on $76,000 bond.
