On Monday a new bill was filed in the Texas Senate that would reduce the penalties attached to sexting. Right now, a teen accused of sexting could face felony charges. Senate Bill 407 changes that to a Class C misdemeanor.
Those teens would also be sent to an educational program that would explain the negative, long term effects of sexting.
