PECOS COUNTY-- A Pecos County investigator has been indicted on a theft charge.

Aldo Martinez Gonzales was indicted by a grand jury in Fort Stockton on January 26th. Gonzales, 57, is accused of stealing between $500 and $1,500 from Pecos County Attorney Jesus Gonzales Jr. The crimes allegedly happened between October 2007 and August 2008, when the defendant worked at the Pecos County Attorney's office.

Gonzales' bond is listed as $5,000 but the indictment says that he's free on personal recognizance. A trial date has not been set.
