The Mission:
Operation Glass Slipper provides formal wear to girls who could not otherwise afford to attend their prom. Through donations of new and gently used formal dresses and accessories, we strive to "make every girl feel like a queen" and help a dream become a reality. Even more than a dress, Operation Glass Slipper desires to provide the hope and belief within oneself that no dream is too big to achieve and no obstacle to large to overcome…..And it all started with a dress.
How can you help?
The non-profit relies on partnerships with schools/organizations to help identify girls in need. Each young lady will receive a dress and if possible, accessories. All items are FREE and are hers to keep. Please consider referring a special young lady to Operation Glass Slipper. ONLY high school staff, community organization staff, church pastors and social care agencies may refer a young lady to Operation Glass Slipper.
Who Qualifies?
Any junior or senior who is currently enrolled and attending high school that you feel is in need. Operation Glass Slipper does not require proof of financial need, just your referral. We rely on your prudence and good judgment.
Deadline for referrals is February 12, 2011.
Dresses will be given away at a Shopping Event scheduled for Sunday, February 27, 2011.
