ODESSA -- A major traffic light in Odessa is out, after a vehicle crashed into a light pole.

The crash happened at 52nd Street and Dixie just after midnight on Wednesday. The accident knocked out power to the traffic lights at that intersection. Cpl. Sherrie Carruth of the Odessa Police Department says it could take up to a week to repair the light.

Until the light is fixed, drivers should treat the intersection like a 4-way stop, unless a police officer directs them otherwise. That means all vehicles must stop at the intersection and be careful when it's their turn to go through it.
