PYOTE -- Crews are getting to work on a new rest stop on Interstate 20.

The groundbreaking for the rest stop east of Pyote was held Tuesday. The groundbreaking was scheduled for earlier in February, but it was delayed twice because of the cold weather.

The rest stop will have interactive exhibits showcasing the area's history, including the World War II base that was once there. There will also be nature trails, play areas and plenty of parking.
