EDDY COUNTY-- Authorities in Eddy County, NM are looking for a missing man.

Eddy County Sheriff Earnest Mendoza tells Big 2 that his office is searching for 72-year-old Louis Fanning. Authorities say Fanning suffers from alzheimer's disease and a heart condition.

Fanning went missing on Friday. Authorities say he left his residence on Stormy Lane south of Carlsbad around 9:00 PM. They say he was driving a turquoise, 1993 Ford Ranger with New Mexico license plate number FBY-121. His truck had approximately half a tank of gas, so they think he could have driven roughly 200 miles in any direction.

Fanning is a white male, around 5' 9" and 175 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue western-style shirt and blue pants.

Anyone with information on Fanning is asked to contact the Eddy County Sheriff's Department at 575-887-7551.
