Woman Arrested After High Speed Chase In Midland

MIDLAND -- A Midland woman is facing serious charges after leading police on a high speed chase.
Vanessa Villa Chavez, 26, was arrested on Thursday. According to an arrest affidavit, a Midland Police officer pulled her over for driving on the wrong side of the road on Lincoln. Chavez gave the officer a false name. When the officer asked her to step out of the vehicle, she took off.
Chavez led police on a high speed chase while her child was in the vehicle. Officers eventually caught up to Chavez and arrested her.
Now, Chavez is charged with endangering a child.
