ODESSA -- A serious danger out on the road these days is texting while driving.

Permian High School students are reminded exactly how dangerous texting while driving is each day, since a mangled vehicle is now on display in the school's parking lot.

That vehicle was being driving by Permian junior Kelsey Foster on January 4th when she got into a head-on collision northeast of Odessa while texting behind the wheel.

The display seems to be working. Hundreds of students have signed a pledge to not text and drive.
