LUBBOCK -- After two weeks, the jury has begun deliberating in the trial against a former West Texas State School principal.

John Paul Hernandez is facing 11 counts for alleged abuse, including a sexual assault charge. Hernandez, 45, is accused of molesting teenagers at the Pyote facility. He has pleaded not guilty, and his attorney claimed that the teens made up the charges to try and get transferred.

The former principal took the stand himself last week. He faces 20 years behind bars if convicted.
