MIDLAND -- A Midland man is facing charges after he was accused of pointing a loaded shotgun at his ex-wife.

Jeffery Webb was arrested on Sunday. According to an arrest affidavit, Webb -- 41 -- was dropping off the couple's kids at his ex-wife's house on Thomason when the two got into an argument. Webb then allegedly pulled out a shotgun and loaded it, before asking his ex-wife to bring her boyfriend outside so that Webb could kill him.

Webb had also allegedly sent the boyfriend a text on Saturday saying "You're dead the next time I see you."

Officers found a shotgun in Webb's truck when they pulled him over and arrested him. Now he's charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
