Odessa Manslaughter Trial Ready To Begin, But No Date Set

ODESSA -- Two Odessans accused of killing a 16 year old girl are getting ready to stand trial.

    Marcos Lucero, 35, and Irene Garcia, 33, were in an Ector County district courtroom Thursady for separate pre-trial hearings. Lucero and Garcia have been charged with manslaughter for a June incident that killed Lupita Martinez.

    According to the indictments, Lucero and Garcia gave the teenager a lethal amount of alcohol. The suspects were arrested in early October.

    Trial dates have not been set.
