Former Hotel Employee Charged WIth Theft

MIDLAND -- Midland Police have issued an arrest warrant for a former Clarion hotel employee.
Medric Sydnor has been charged with theft. Police say that Sydnor, 46, was promoting a Nicki Minaj concert earlier this year, but the concert fell through.
Sydnor originally offered to refund people for tickets that were sold, and he cut dozens of checks. But police say almost all of the checks bounced. Sydnor now owes more than $10,000 to people.
Sydnor turned himself in on Monday. He is being held on $20,000 bond. Police say that they are asking anyone else who might have not received a refund to contact them.
