MIDLAND -- A Fort Stockton man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after he was found with almost 40 pounds of cocaine.

Rafael Estrada, 28, was in federal court Wednesday to receive that sentence after pleading guilty to the charges back in December. Estrada was arrested in September after officers pulled him over for a traffic violation along Business 20. During a search of Estrada's vehicle, officers found 15 kilograms of cocaine -- which is worth more than $500,000.

District Judge Rob Junell also ordered Estrada to undergo a 500 hour drug treatment. He'll be on supervised release for 5 years when his sentence is complete.
