Odessa Police Officer Injured In Crash

ODESSA -- An Odessa Police officer was injured in an accident Thursday morning.

    This crash happened in the 1500 block of North Dixie around 1:45 AM Thursday. O.P.D. Officer Kenneth Boardman was driving to a disturbance call when he tried to change lanes and smashed into a Chevy Silverado.

    Boardman, 36, was taken to Medical Center Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. He was released that same day.

    Boardman got a ticket for not staying in one lane. The driver of the Chevy -- 18-year-old Luis Amancio -- got a citation for speeding.
