MIDLAND COUNTY -- Winds sparked a fire in Midland County Monday.

The flames began burning at Waggoner's Trucking -- along Business 20 and F.M. 1788 -- just after 3:00 PM Monday. The blaze torched two acres. It also damaged two buildings and an 18 wheeler .

"[The fire] started when some people were over here doing some cutting and grinding and it got off into the weeds, and they didn't have a way of controlling it," Midland County Fire Marshal Dale Little told Big 2. "So they will be issued two citations."

A pile of tires also caught fire, sending some thick black smoke into the air.
