Pecos County Wildfire Contained

PECOS COUNTY -- A large fire that burned thousands of acres in Pecos County has been contained.
The Pinon Fire was completely contained Tuesday morning, after it burned 4,575 acres on rough terrain near the Longfellow Ranch. That ranch is about 28 miles south of Fort Stockton on U.S. 385.
The Texas Forest Service sent ground and air support to help put out the blaze. No structures were threatened by the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
