Midland collected $2,054,008 in sales tax revenue. That figure was good for a 31.7 percent increase from March 2010. The revenue also shows that the economic recovery is still going on strong.
Meanwhile, Odessa got $2,013,864 in revenue. That revenue is split between the city and the Odessa Development Corporation. Odessa's numbers are up 31.68 percent from last year's figures.
March sales tax revenues are based off of January sales.
