MIDLAND -- Compressor Systems Inc. broke ground on a major expansion to its facility in Midland Thursday.

C.S.I. manufactures gas compression equipment. The new addition is the next step in the long-term growth of the company in the Tall City. The company's headquarters has been in Midland for over 40 years and it's a large employer in the Permian Basin.

The expansion will be on the coating and painting facility. That facility will more than double in size, thanks to a $2 million investment.
