MIDLAND -- A man was rushed to the hospital Friday, after firefighters say he was contaminated by a biohazard.

The man's co-workers said he hadn't been at work for a while, so they called the authorities. When police went to check the man's home on New York, they saw he had been living without power or water.

Two of the man's three dogs were dead inside the home. Those dead animals are a biohazard, and the man was contaminated.

That man was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital.
