Elderly Man Hit By Car In Odessa

ODESSA -- An 80-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after he was hit by a car on Tuesday.

    The incident happened at 8th and Maple around 1:00 PM Tuesday. Odessa Police say that William Barnes was riding his bike across the street, when a woman turned out of the Walgreen's parking lot. The driver and Barnes did not see each other, and Barnes was hit.

    Police say Barnes might have a broken leg, but his injuries are not considered life threatening. Police also say that Barnes will get a citation for failing to yield the right of way.
