COLORADO CITY -- The mother of a missing Colorado City teen is no longer speaking with the media. And now, she also has an attorney.

Billie Dunn was arrested late last week and charged with three misdemeanors, including possession of dangerous drugs, hindering, and false report to a police officer. However, her attorney John Young says he has strong doubts about the case.

Police showed up at Dunn's Colorado City home Thursday, asking to search her boyfriend, Shawn Adkins. They say Dunn didn't tell them he was home, and he was arrested.

"They didn't even have an arrest warrant for the boyfriend," said Young. "It was a matter of wanting to talk to him."

"That search warrant is being analyzed now and being looked at," said Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs. "And once we come up with what was on that stuff then there could be future search warrants or possible arrests."

Young says he doesn't believe that search warrant was ever presented. The Mitchell County Sheriff's Office says they produced two warrants -- one for Adkins, and another for his family's home in Scurry County.

Dunn faces jail time and fines if she's convicted of the misdemeanors.
