ODESSA -- A former Permian football star pleaded guilty to home burglary charges Tuesday.

Tommey Morris pleaded guilty for his role in a September 12th break-in at a home on Custer. Morris is a senior at Permian, and he was a star wide receiver for the football team the past few seasons.

Police say that Morris and three other students broke into a home on Custer last September and stole some laptops. All four had previously been at the home for a party.

Morris was suspended indefinitely from the football team after the incident, although he rejoined the team later in the season.

Morris will be on four years deferred adjudication. He'll also have to pay $1,000 in restitution.
