Due to budget cuts at the state level, O.C. will have to raise tuition -- but not by much. Rates will go up $10 for students in the district and $20 for students outside of the district. This increase will make up for budget cuts at the state level.
Although the college still has more budget issues to address, O.C. President Dr. Gregory Williams feels confident about the future.
"We know we'll have a difficult budget process," Williams told Big 2. "We'll be OK. We have the support of the entire community, so we feel good about where we stand."
Even with the raise in tuition, O.C. says their tuition is a third of the cost of a four-year school.
