ODESSA --  Some kids got a chance to learn more about those flu prevention techniques first hand Thursday afternoon.

Students at Dowling elementary in Odessa got a unique look at how to fight the flu. The "flu fighters" from the Texas Department of State Health Services were on hand, using some kung-fu moves to show how easily kids can stop the flu in it's tracks.

"they have the power to fight the flu, by always using healthy habits," flu fighter T'Shaw Beyonce told Big 2. "And they can control their destiny basically, they don't have to get sick."

The flu fighters went to two Odessa schools today. They have been touring schools all around the state, encouraging kids to wash their hands and stop the spread of the flu.
