Africanized Bees on the Attack

For the last year, Thomas Collins and his family have been in a battle with bees. These are not your normal bees -- who don't want to bother anyone and are just out for pollen. No, these are aggressive, killer bees.
Africanized bees can be very aggressive. They are relentless and attack in large numbers.
The landlord sent out someone to rid the house of the bees. But that only landed him in the hospital.
"Africanized bees will pursue a threat a half a mile or more," says Bee Busters Owner Tim Cleverdon. "The more open it is, the farther the africanized bees will pursue a threat. And the best analogy I've come up with on these africanized bees is they're like fire ants with wings."
If you are being attacked by a swarm of africanized bees, the best thing to do is run. Seek shelter, and if there is wind, run against the wind. This makes it harder for the bees to follow and harder for them to pick up your scent.
