West Texas Terror Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

LUBBOCK -- A former West Texas college student was back in court Monday morning, as he was arraigned on terror charges
Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari is accused of buying chemicals and equipment to build a weapon of mass destruction. Aldawsari pleaded not guilty to the charges Monday morning.
Aldawsari was arrested on February 23rd after the FBI raided his apartment. According to court documents, the former Texas Tech and South Plains College student planned to attack several targets, including the Dallas home of George W. Bush.
Federal authorities say that Aldawsari ordered chemicals from a company in North Carolina. They add that he had posted extremist comments online.
Aldawsari's trial will start on May 2nd. He faces up to life in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
