Escaped Martin County Inmate Re-Captured

STANTON -- A Martin County teen is back behind bars, after escaping custody.
Damion Jamal Warren, 19, escaped custody Monday afternoon, while he was being taken from a recreation yard back to the Martin County Jail in Stanton. The Martin County Sheriffs Office tells Big 2 that the recreation yard that the inmates use is a block away from the jail.
Guards were bringing a group of five inmates -- including Warren -- back from the yard around 4 PM Monday, when Warren took off. He was captured about 20 minutes later in Stanton.
Warren was behind bars for theft. Now, he'll also face escape charges.
