ODESSA -- An accused Odessa murderer is still behind bars, after his request for bond reduction was denied.

Adrian John Chavez is still being held on $250,000 bond. Chavez was arrested in October for the alleged murder, which happened on August 15th. He's accused of shooting 23-year-old Luis Roman in the shoulder while Roman was driving down West University. Roman lost control of his truck after he was shot, and he died after he was thrown from the vehicle.

Ector County District Attorney Bobby Bland tells Big 2 that Chavez's trial will probably be held in June.
