Senate Approves Changes To Texas Railroad Commission

AUSTIN -- The Texas Railroad Commission could be seeing some big changes soon.
The Texas Senate has voted to change the organization's name to the Oil and Gas Commission. Under the Senate plan, one official would oversee the entire commission and two commissioner positions would be eliminated. Senators say the changes will make the commission more efficient.
That bill will now go to the House.
