UPDATE: 3:15pm -- There are three fires being worked on right now.
Crews in Midland County are working on a fire near County Road 1200. The fire did jump that road.
The fire along TX 176 is big enough to see on doppler radar. It appears very large.
There is also a fire along F.M. 1788 in Andrews County. Crews are working on all of them.
A volunteer fire department truck also flipped over near Interstate 20 and Cloverdale Road on its way to the Midland County fire. We hear that the person in that truck appears to be uninjured.
UPDATE: 2:25pm - We have confirmed that the Andrews County fire is near the Waste Control Specialists Site.
WEST TEXAS -- We are starting to get reports of wildfires.
One was out by Midland International Airport. This small brush fire was extinguished quickly with no major issues.
A much larger fire has been reported in Andrews County, off TX 176 near the New Mexico State line. Numerous crews are responding to the fire, and we've received word that authorities are working to bring in the Texas Forest Service.
We will have more updates as we get them.
