MIDLAND -- Midland firefighters have been busy with fires lately. But recently, they've been working towards a different goal.

Firefighters have been at some of Midlands busiest intersections for their annual Fill The Boot drive. It kicked off Thursday and will continue through Sunday -- and Midlanders have been very helpful.

"The people in Midland are just so incredibly generous," said Midland Fire Department Captain Lee Wise told Big 2. "And we're looking to do the same again next year."

This year they hope to raise $100,000 for the Muscular dystrophy Association.
